WHEN:  03/29/19  Duration:  6:00am - 7:30am PT

Description:  On Friday, March 29, 2019, system maintenance will be performed from 6:00am to 7:30am (US Pacific Time) on servers that host Sakai (sakai.plu.edu), Web Help Desk (helpdesk.plu.edu), and PLU Search & Directory (search.plu.edu). Consequently, these web services will be disrupted during this interval. However, maintenance might be completed in much less time. An update to this notice will be posted once the maintenance is complete.

Sakai, Sakai Demo & DSpace Unavailable for Maintenance - Fri., Mar. 15, 6am

*** UPDATE *** March 15, 9:28am PT - Sakai is back online. I&TS support staff is conducting an investigation into root cause for this service disruption.

*** UPDATE *** March 15, 7:55am PT - Sakai is still offline due to an unexpected system disruption. I&TS support staff are working to restore Sakai as soon as possible.

*** UPDATE *** March 15, 6:58am PT - Sakai Demo and DSpace are now back online. However, an unexpected system disruption occurred during maintenance whereby Sakai still remains offline. I&TS support staff are working to restore Sakai as soon as possible.

Planned ISP Outage - Wednesday, March 13, 2019 - 12:00 AM to 4:00AM

WHAT: PLU Internet Service Provider Planned Maintenance

WHEN: 3/13/2019 Duration: Estimated 1 hour between 12:00 AM - 4:00 AM

WHERE: Internet service in and out of the campus network

Current Status: Planned

Description:
Our primary ISP has been notified by their fiber carrier of planned maintenance to to be performed in the early morning on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.  The maintenance window is scheduled from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM.  An outage of 1 hour is possible, however the entire window is reserved.

During this maintenance our Internet service should automatically switch to using our secondary ISP for all traffic.  However, during the transition period at the start and end of the maintenance users may experience disruption to their connections.  Under certain conditions some disruption throughout the maintenance period is possible as well, but all services should resume normally when the maintenance is complete.

Service Impacted: Campus Internet Service

Workarounds: Secondary ISP should handle most of our Internet service needs.
