Description: The issue with accessing banweb.plu.edu has been resolved.  Please contact the Help Desk if you experience any further issues.

Original Post:  I&TS began receiving notice at approximately 9:40 am that all Banner services were unavailable.  We are currently researching the issue and will have it resolved as quickly as possible.

Sakai, Search & DSpace Unavailable for Maintenance - Fri., Nov. 30, 6am

*** UPDATE *** November 30, 7:11am PT - Sakai, PLU Search & Directory, and DSpace are now back online. The planned maintenance is complete.

*** UPDATE *** November 30, 6:00am PT - Sakai, PLU Search & Directory, and DSpace are currently offline or intermittently available due to planned maintenance. I&TS support staff are working to restore these services by 7:00am (if not before).

WHAT:  Sakai, Search & DSpace Unavailable for Maintenance

WHEN:  11/30/18  Duration:  6:00am - 7:00am PT

Description:  On Friday, November 30, 2018, system maintenance will be performed from 6:00am to 7:00am (US Pacific Time) on servers that host Sakai (sakai.plu.edu), PLU Search & Directory (search.plu.edu), and DSpace (dspace.plu.edu). Consequently, these web services will be disrupted during this interval. However, maintenance might be completed in much less time. An update to this notice will be posted once the maintenance is complete.

Description:  An unplanned service disruption occurred on Wednesday morning, November 21 for Web Help Desk (helpdesk.plu.edu) approximately from 8:52am to 8:57am (US Pacific Time). During this time, Web Help Desk users most likely observed error messages stating "Server Unavailable". At approximately 8:57am, the Web Help Desk service was fully restored.

Web Help Desk Unavailable for Maintenance - Fri., Nov. 16, 6am

*** UPDATE *** Nov. 16, 2018 - 8:32am - The outbound email issue is now resolved, and Web Help Desk is fully restored.

*** UPDATE *** Nov. 16, 2018 - 7:45am - Web Help Desk (helpdesk.plu.edu) is currently only partially restored. Currently, outbound emails from Web Help Desk are not being sent. When attempting to send ticket updates and other email notifications, users will see the error message, "Could not create transport for E-Mail messages: Connection refused". I&TS Support is investigating and working to restore this service as soon as possible.

Journals@PLU (Gold Rush) outage Saturday, November 3rd

WHAT: Journals@PLU (Gold Rush) outage

Current Status: Open

Description: Gold Rush, the service which runs Journals@PLU and our article linker, will be offline for a server migration. "Check the PLU Library" links for journal articles, and the Journals@PLU journal lookup tab on the library home page, will not work for the duration of the outage.

Workarounds: Direct full text access links from WorldCat Local will function normally, and journal titles can be looked up in WorldCat Local as well.
