Internet Service Provider Outage - Wednesday, July 14th 1:00AM - 4:00AM

WHAT: PLU Internet Service Provider Maintenance

WHEN: 7/14/2021 Duration: Brief 5-15 minute outage during maintenance window

WHERE: Internet service in and out of campus

Current Status: Scheduled

Description: One of PLU's Internet Service Providers will be performing maintenance on some of their equipment that supports one of our internet connections.  This work is scheduled between 1:00AM-4:00AM on Wednesday, July 14th.

PLU has multiple ISP connections and has designed our connectivity to utilize all links whenever possible.  During this maintenance, our Internet service will be switched to our secondary ISP for all traffic. However, during the transition periods users may experience disruption to their connections.


Service(s) Impacted: Campus Internet Service

Workarounds: Secondary ISP should handle most of our Internet service needs.

Next Update:  Following completion of maintenance and confirmation from our ISP.

“Forbidden” error when accessing EBSCO articles from library catalog (Primo VE)

WHAT: “Forbidden” error when accessing EBSCO articles from library catalog (Primo VE)

WHEN: 06/30/21  

Current Status: Open

Description: When attempting to access articles on the EBSCO platform from the library catalog, an error consisting of the word "Forbidden" is displayed instead.

Service(s) Impacted: Library

Workarounds: 

  • If there is a link to the article that is not through EBSCO, try that link instead.
  • Connect to EBSCO directly and search for your article there.

Root Cause / Continuous Improvement: Primo VE does not have the correct OpenURL protocol and needs to be updated with the vendor.
