Description: In order to better protect both your personal and institutional data, Information & Technology Services is implementing an additional security feature called multi-factor authentication for many of its web-based services for accounts that may have access to sensitive information. If your account has been designated to be required to sign up for this service, you will receive an email in your PLU account letting you know how to proceed with setting up this new security feature. Current Status: Resolved

The primary fault of the outage has been resolved.  The Banner pre-production database will be restarted tomorrow morning and should be available at the beginning of the normal workday.

The Banner system providing our test environment for Banner went offline unexpectedly this evening.  Work is underway now to restore service.  Service and access to the production Banner system is NOT affected due to this issue.

Sakai Unavailable for Maintenance on Sat., July 1, 6am

*** UPDATE *** July 1, 6:00AM PT - Sakai is currently offline for planned maintenance. The Sakai Support team is working to restore this service by 6:30AM (if not before).

Description:  On Friday, June 9, 2017 between 6:00am and 6:05am (Pacific), Sakai may experience a momentary loss of connectivity as the server is migrated to new hardware. Though we anticipate most users who are browsing content in Sakai will not notice any disruption in service during this 5-minute interval, we recommend that users who are saving or submitting work in Sakai around this time to do so before 6:00am or to wait to initiate those tasks until after maintenance is complete. Description:  UPDATE:  As of 6;45 am the issue with the server has been resolved and all Banner Services (INB and Self-Serivce) are once again available.  

Original Post:
We are currently experiencing an issue with the primary database server for Banner.  As a result, services reliant on Banner including Banweb (aka Banner Self-Service), INB, & various reporting systems, are offline or unable to complete some operations.

I&TS is actively working on a resolution and will provide an update as soon as possible.
