Planned Internet Service Provider Outage - Thursday Aug. 8, 2019 - 11:00AM to 12:00PM

WHAT: PLU Internet Service Provider Planned Maintenance

WHEN: 8/8/19  Duration: Estimated 1 hour between 11:00am and 12:00pm

WHERE: Internet service in and out of the campus network

Current Status: Resolved

Description:
In coordination with our primary ISP, essential equipment will be replaced.  It is expected that we will lose connectivity to the Internet through this service for a short period of time.  During this maintenance our Internet service should automatically switch to our secondary ISP for all traffic. However, during the transition period at the start and end of the maintenance users may experience disruption to their connections.

[Update]
A configuration issue caused most sites on the internet to be inaccessible temporarily.  The issue was resolved by our internet service provider.  Internet service to and from campus should now be completely restored.

Workarounds: Secondary ISP should handle most of our Internet service needs.
