Planned Internet Service Provider Outage - Friday, October 18, 2019 - 12:01AM to 05:00AM

WHAT: PLU Internet Service Provider Planned Maintenance

WHEN: 10/18/19 Duration:  Up to 1 hour total

WHERE: Internet service in and out of campus

Current Status: Complete

Description: One of PLU's Internet Service Providers notified us of maintenance work they will need to perform affecting one of our Internet connections.  This work is scheduled between Midnight and 5:00AM Friday morning, October 18th.  According to our ISP we can expect that our "customers will lose connection for up to an hour during the maintenance window noted."

PLU has multiple ISP connections and has designed our connectivity to utilize both links whenever possible.  During this maintenance our Internet service should automatically switch to our secondary ISP for all traffic. However, during the transition period at the start and end of the maintenance users may experience disruption to their connections.

Service(s) Impacted: Campus Internet Service

Workarounds: Secondary ISP should handle most of our Internet service needs.
